1 · Who we are
RD Wire Products (a division of Almeida's Wire Inc.) operates this website at rdwire.com. We are a wire-products fabricator based at 30 Six Point Rd, Etobicoke, Ontario, Canada.
Our Privacy Officer can be reached at privacy@rdwire.com.
2 · What we collect
- Lead-capture forms: name, email, phone, company, project description, uploaded files, budget range. Submitted only when you fill in a quote form.
- Plausible analytics: pageviews, referrers, country. No cookies, no persistent identifiers, no IP storage.
- Vercel Analytics: session-bucket via 24-hour request hash. No cross-session tracking.
- Sentry error tracking: stack traces and breadcrumbs for fixing bugs. No form contents.
3 · Why we collect it (PIPEDA Schedule 1)
- Lead qualification + project scoping — to send a quote and follow up.
- Service delivery — to fulfill the fabrication run.
- Site analytics — to understand how the site is used.
- Error tracking — to keep the site working.
4 · How long we keep it
Quote-form submissions are retained for 24 months from the last interaction (matches CASL implied-consent window). After that, records are anonymised or deleted. Analytics data is aggregate and retained indefinitely.
5 · Who we share it with
We use the following third-party processors, all with signed Data Processing Agreements:
- Vercel — hosting (US, EU, Asia regions)
- Sanity — content management (US/EU)
- Resend — transactional email (US)
- Upstash — rate limiting (US)
- Sentry — error tracking (US)
- Plausible — analytics (EU)
- Honeycomb — observability traces (US)
6 · Your rights
Under PIPEDA and Quebec Law 25, you have the right to:
- Know what we hold about you
- Correct it if it's wrong
- Request a copy in portable format (Quebec residents)
- Withdraw consent and request deletion
- Complain to us, then to the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the CAI
To exercise any of these, email privacy@rdwire.com.
7 · Security
We use TLS 1.3 in transit and encryption at rest on all third-party processors. Access to production data is limited to a small ops team behind hardware MFA.
8 · Breach notification
If a breach poses a real risk of significant harm, we will notify the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (CAI) where applicable, and affected individuals without undue delay.
9 · Changes
We will post material changes here and update the "Last reviewed" date at the top of this page.
